Q:We’re glad to meet you, can you tell us a little something about yourself?

A : My name is Antonina Gurshchenko. I’m 34 y.o. I’m a hosewife. I studied sociology and psychology in Moscow Aviation University. I’m Russian, but now I’m living in UAE.

Q:  How did you start to color? When did this attraction begin?

A: When I was able to hold a pencil =) it’s not a joke. I was always drawing, coloring and doing artworks. When I was 12 I was enrolled in an Art School (kind of additional education to a middle school) and was studying and learning painting, decorative art, crafts, history of art and etc. But it was never my job, as well as psychology and sociology. Strange =) but I was always in love with art and craft. A year ago zenart (zentangle\doodling\zendoodle whatever you call it) came into my life. First I tried to draw that by myself… That was funny, but then I decided that I want to learn about it and I took on-line course from Paint Moscow and now I am not shy to post my arts in Instagram =)

Q:Do you use coloring as a small getaway from the real world?

A : Well… I would not say that I’m trying to escape from reality, it just helps to rest, relax me, to refocus on something different.

Q:Is coloring time consuming? How often do you color on a weekly basis?

A :  Almost every day. I like it =) if you really like something you will do it, right?

Q:How do you prepare before coloring? Any special preps?

A: Usually, I’m watching (well better to say listening) movies

Q:What are your favorite supplies for coloring? Do you always use the same or you like to experiment with it?

A: I like to try new, but I have some basic staff what I’m always buying. I like [easyazon_link identifier=”B0008G8G8Y” locale=”US” tag=”noel091-20″]sakura liners[/easyazon_link] and [easyazon_link identifier=”B00KO8UK80″ locale=”US” tag=”noel091-20″]gel pens[/easyazon_link], [easyazon_link identifier=”B000EWYCX0″ locale=”US” tag=”noel091-20″]Faber-Castell[/easyazon_link] color pencils.

Q:Do you have special techniques and color mixes that you’d like to share with us?

Any tips and tricks?

A :I am still new in this kind of art. I think I am still learning it.

Q: Do you have a specific “signature” in your art?

A: Nope, nothing yet.

Q: Which books and patterns you find most enjoyable to color?

A : I am only coloring my own artwork =) Ohhh… and once I colored Peppa Pig from my daughter’s coloring book =)

Q:Do you have a favorite author? How did he/she earn your admirations?

A: For now, I don’t but you never know.

Q: And last but not least, where can we find your artwork?

A : Instagram: @amani_art_

I know people who likes to color books, zentangle books. If someone would like to color my arts – I will be happy =)
